A novel, real time cell-based assay is presented that was used to quantify the amount of beta-blockers that remain in the effluents from waste water treatment plants. The CLARIOstar’s LVF monochromator was used in FI mode in the note to perform well-scanning readings. The PHERAstar FSX, equipped with the appropriate module, would be suitable as well.
