BMG LABTECH’s SPECTROstar NANO is the industry leading premiere absorbance microplate reader. The SPECTROstar NANO is a spectrometer-based absorbance reader that can capture a full UV-visible spectrum, 220nm to 1000nm, in less than 1 sec/well at 1nm resolution, offering you speed and precision that cannot be matched by older monochromator or filter absorbance reading technology. The SPECTROstar NANO has a built in cuvette port, 45C incubation, push button operation, is 1536 well capable, and has 2uL nano spot DNA quantitation capability allow the fastest measurements of DNA, RNA, ELISAs, and much more.

The SPECTROstar Nano is equipped with BMG LABTECH’s proprietary ultra-fast UV/Vis spectrometer, which allows users to measure full-spectrum absorbance (220 – 1000 nm) in less than 1 second per well. The reader does not need to be tuned or scanned to measure a particular wavelength, the user receives all wavelengths all the time for a complete spectral curve thus greatly enhancing the speed of assays that require multiple wavelengths like DNA quantitation.
Of course you may want to observe only a few or even a single wavelength, but the choice is yours to make. With multiple wavelength assays, such as DNA quantitation, the spectrometer offered marked speed advantages over monochromator absorbance microplate readers that struggle to even get one wavelength per well per second. The SPECTROstar NANO can obtain 780 measurements, one per wavelength, in less than one second.
The SPECTROstar’s cuvette port is easily accessible via the cover on the top of the reader. Our engineers have designed the reader for fast operation with a single cuvette, or large batches. Cuvettes can be read simply by inserting, pushing a button, and removing – the software handles storing the data, organizing batches, blank correcting, calibration curves, and much more. With the LVis accessory the SPECTROstar becomes a DNA quantitation workhorse enabling you to measure sixteen 2uL samples in under fifteen seconds, with complete quantitation and DNA purity data available instantaneously with our built in MARS sata analysis templates.
